Every year I begin the opening day staff meeting with a message.  This year, it was especially difficult for me to decide on a message.  I had so many ideas I didn’t know where to begin so I thought about what one of my mentors, Terry Howe a retired principal once told me.  If ever I was uncertain of where to begin (in reference to answering interview questions), he said to simply go to your core and think about what really matters to you and begin from there.  The result . . .
